After finding themselves winning four out of five games earlier in the month the Boston Celtics have now dropped two of their last three with their most recent coming in a somewhat heartless fashion against the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday night.
A truly putrid offensive showing overall, for the third contest in a row the Cs failed to eclipse or even hit the century mark, falling to their conference foe by a final score of 96-108.
Just when we thought this team could look to be turning the corner, it’s nights such as these that pull us back down to reality and has us praying to the Basketball gods that All-Star wing, Jaylen Brown, can return to action soon for, frankly, they sure could have used him.
As mentioned, Boston’s offensive production was indefinitely sub-par, shooting just 44 percent from the floor and a horrendous 26.8 percent from deep.
To delve a bit deeper, outside of the likes of Jayson Tatum there seemed to be no real difference-maker for the team from the exhibition and the numbers certainly seem to back up this claim, as none of the 13 players who saw in-game action registered a positive box plus-minus.
However, despite this, there still were some players who produced semi-well and, in turn, find themselves in the running for being one of the top performers of the night for the Celtics.
That said, there were far more players who went on to put forth underwhelming performances.
