The big news that has put the Boston Celtics at the forefront of the NBA world this week has been the Ben Simmons for Jaylen Brown trade rumors.

Simmons has not played for the 76ers all season, demanding a trade from the team that drafted him and withheld him from his rookie season and then later handed him a five-year, $170 million contract.

Brown has raised his game to career-high levels across the board and has eclipsed the 30-point mark three times in his eight appearances.

Yeah, it makes no sense to the Houdini or most Boston Celtics fans.

But here we are, being hit with ‘Shams bombs’ about that very scenario imminently coming to fruition.

Well, MassLive’s Brian Robb isn’t buying it:

"Multiple league sources were adamant to MassLive.com that the Celtics have no interest in moving the All-Star Brown in the interim, particularly with him under team control for two more seasons at a below-market deal. 76ers general manager Daryl Morey has always aimed high in trade negotiations throughout his career…"
