Boston Celtics point guard target No. 3) Malcolm Brogdon

We at HH have long been advocates for seeing the Boston Celtics look into trading for Pacers point guard Malcolm Brogdon, and have even concocted quite a few hypothetical deals throughout the past several months that would land him in Eastern Massachusetts.

Now, while the fact that his two-year, $45 million contract extension signed this past summer may have many believing that Indiana is set on keeping him in the fold moving forward, should they continue to stay sub-.500 (currently 4-7 on the year) they could opt to resort back to their initial reported desires of trading the 28-year-old, and the Cs should be highly interested if this winds up becoming a reality.

Since becoming a full-time starting point guard back in 2019-20, Brogdon has proven to be a fantastic do it all type of player, posting per-game averages of 19.1 points, 6.5 assists, and 5.2 rebounds on nearly 45 percent shooting from the floor and 36 percent shooting from deep throughout this span.

This season, he’s continuing his multi-talented ways of work, as he’s boasting stat-sheet stuffing numbers of 22.3 points, 7.2 points,7 assists, half a steal, and just shy of a block per game.

Like our stance on Dejounte Murray, the Boston Celtics could use for a bit of everything at this point in time, and, because of this, should he become available at some point this season, Stevens should be very interested in pursuing him.
