Sacramento Kings PF/C Marvin Bagley

The idea of trading Josh Richardson for Marvin Bagley has been one brought up before, specifically by MassLive’s Brian Robb:

"Bagley’s defensive struggles give me pause from pulling a trigger on moving a veteran wing for him in Richardson. A wing who can switch like Richardson defensively is a far more valuable commodity right now than a big like Bagley who hasn’t been able to break into the rotation this year for a bad Kings team."

He didn’t like it. That said, it isn’t a deal that the Cs shouldn’t consider altogether…especially at this point.

Aaron Nesmith and Romeo Langford are more worth the developmental minutes if Richardson isn’t going to be someone the Cs can heavily on. He simply makes too much to tread water on this roster.

Meanwhile, Bagley has an undefined ceiling, mostly because he has only toiled away on the Sacramento Kings in his four-year career.

Oklahoma City Thunder PF/C Derrick Favors

I think it’s safe to assume that the OKC Thunder don’t have any grand plans of playing Derrick Favors much this season.

The rebuilding franchise has lost all three of its games by a combined 66 points, with the lowest point differential being 12. Given Favors’ veteran status, his presence in Oklahoma City doesn’t make any sense.

Josh Richardson would have the same value to the Thunder that Favors currently has: salary filler in a future deal. But the Cs would gain a competent bench big, which is sorely needed as things stand.
