Boston Celtics: 1 stud and 1 dud from preseason loss to Magic

Boston Celtics stud: Aaron Nesmith
After having himself a stellar outing during the team’s first bout against the Orlando Magic in game one of the preseason, coming into Wednesday’s outing many anticipated another solid showing from the likes of second-year wing, Aaron Nesmith.
Much to ours, and virtually every Boston Celtics fan out there’s delight he wound up delivering and, because of this, we find the 21-year-old once again being listed by the Houdini as the team’s top stud.
Due to the abundance of absentees for the Cs, Nesmith went on to get a starting nod for Ime Udoka’s ball club and logged just over 26 minutes through four quarters.
Throughout the game, the sophomore found himself serving as Boston’s offensive focal point, as he hoisted a team-high 16 attempts from the field including eight coming from beyond the arc.
Shooting at a rather impressive clip of 50 percent from both the floor and from deep, Aaron Nesmith finished with an all-around great stat-line of 23 points, four assists, three boards, and a steal.
Showing off his impressive bag of tricks that included sound ball-handling skills, effective movement when off the ball, and athletic finishes at the rim the former 14th overall pick only enhanced the excitement Celtics fans feel about seeing him suit up for their favorite team this year and, in turn, inched his way closer to being one of their key contributors coming off the pine alongside Dennis Schroder in 2021-22.
