The NBA regular season is just a few weeks away and the season activities are starting to get into swing of things. It’s a bounce back year for the Boston Celtics who ended up going 36-36 and landing the seven seed in the Eastern Conference. With the team relatively healthy, retooled and revitalized going into the season, there’s a lot to look forward to.

The Boston Celtics are back and there’s a ton of potential on the roster.

The team looks quite different than it did at the end of the 2020 season. Kemba Walker was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder before getting bought out and signing with the New York Knicks, reuniting with another member of the 2020 Celtics, Evan Fournier. Al Horford is back repping the green and white after coming over in the Kemba trade.

The Israeli draft and stash point guard, Yam Madar is coming from overseas and joining the team as well. Dennis Schröder, the main free agency splash,  signed with the C’s to fill in the hole at the point guard spot.

Jayson Tatum is gunning for yet another All Star caliber season with the Boston Celtics with his running mate Jaylen Brown. Brown sounds like he’s healthy and ready to go for the 2021-22 season after he missed the latter part of the 2020-21 season with a season ending wrist injury. Robert Williams III got his contract extension and the Celtics are ready to go with a retooled team.

Ime Udoka enters his first year as the head coach of the Boston Celtics with high expectations. And with a need to bounce back after a miserable 2020-21. Brad Stevens being at the helm is the cherry on top of the new era of Celtics basketball.

Looking at the season, there’s a lot to be confident in. The refreshed Boston Celtics are legitimate contenders in the Eastern Conference and they have a lot of potential on the roster. If any Celtics were to win NBA awards at the end of the season, it would be these guys.
