Takeaways from Boston Celtics media day: Daniel Theis helped out the Cs this offseason
The Boston Celtics traded Daniel Theis to the Chicago Bulls at the deadline last season. However, he still managed to help the franchise out this summer.
When Dennis Schroder was deciding where to sign this offseason, he asked Theis about the Celtics. The pair have been teammates on Team Germany, as they are both from there.
According to Schroder, he asked Theis about the Celtics before deciding to sign in Boston. Theis told Schroder that the Boston Celtics are a “great organization with a winning mentality.”
So, while Theis may no longer be on the Celtics, he is still helping them build a solid team. Shoutout to Boston’s former friend for helping them out this summer!
Takeaways from Boston Celtics media day: Grant Williams is fully buying into his role
Grant Williams struggled last season, and Boston Celtics fans made sure to let him know that. He was the target of slander by many, and some even went as far as saying the Cs should trade him.
A big part of this was because he went from playing primarily the center, to playing mainly power forward minutes. Well, luckily for Celtics fans, Williams is ready to buy into his new role.
“I learned the best thing you can do is play your role and do the best you can in that role,” said Williams. “I got away from that last year. I tried to do too much. I’m fixing that.”
Combine this with the fact that Williams has “lost 12-15 pounds” in order “to play the four more,” and fans should be very excited. It seems as though Williams is now ready to be a full-time power forward.
