Boston Celtics player No. 3) Al Horford

Last but certainly not least, we have old reliable, Al Horford, rounding out our list of the most versatile players found on the roster for the Boston Celtics.

The 5x All-Star comes back to eastern Massachusetts after a two-year hiatus whilst suiting up for the Philadelphia 76ers in 2019-20 and the OKC Thunder in 2020-21.

Last season, in particular, proved to the masses that Horford is still a highly capable player in this league who still has the all-around skill set that Cs fans fell in love with during his first stint with the franchise back in 2016-19.

Through 28 games played last year, the center posted impressive per-game averages of 14.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and just shy of a block per game on 45 percent shooting from the floor and 37 percent shooting from deep while boasting a team-best defensive box plus-minus of those who logged over 700 minutes.

When he previously was serving as the starting pivot for the Boston Celtics, Al Horford saw himself putting up highly versatile averages of 13.5 points, seven rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game on 50 percent shooting from the floor and 38 percent shooting from deep.

A player with a well-proven track record of being a floor spacer, and defensive anchor, and a high-impact facilitator, there’s no question that Big Al deserves a spot on this list of versatile players found on Boston’s roster heading into 2021-22.
