#4 Boston Celtics training camp invite: Theo Pinson
Theo Pinson was a signing that excited many Celtics fans, but in reality, it’s going to be a nearly impossible climb for the UNC product to make Boston’s roster.
Pinson has struggled with his shot since coming into the league, never finding true consistency at any stint along the way. He was most useful on the 2018-19 Brooklyn Nets as a locker-room presence, but his on-court play has underwhelmed.
With Romeo Langford and Aaron Nesmith possible for leaps in 2021-22, it’d take something drastic for Pinson’s name to be listed on the final 15-man roster.
#3 Boston Celtics training camp invite: Juwan Morgan
There’s certainly a lot of intrigue with the six-foot-seven power forward Juwan Morgan considering the unique skill set he’d bring to the position for the Cs.
Unlike Juan Hernangomez and Grant Williams, Morgan is a high-flying guard who is comfortable finishing emphatically at the rim. The ground-bound Hernangomez and Williams bring something else entirely to the floor.
That could play to Morgan’s advantage. Williams would likely be the goner if anyone had to go to make room for the former Indiana Hoosier.
