Trades to bring Karl-Anthony Towns to the Boston Celtics: MIN rebuilds

This trade probably looks much more appealing to Timberwolves fans. However, Boston Celtics fans definitely won’t like it as much.

Unfortunately for them, this is probably what a trade for Karl-Anthony Towns would look like. This trade would set the Timberwolves up beautifully for the future.

They would have to take Al Horford in order to match salaries, but other than that they are just stocking up on young players and picks. They could build a nice foundation with this core.

Payton Pritchard and Aaron Nesmith are both coming off of great rookie seasons and could thrive as focal points of Minnesota’s offense. A similar statement could be made about Robert Williams III.

Meanwhile, the C’s would also get Patrick Beverley in return. If the Wolves hit the reset button, there’s no reason to keep him around in a trade like this.

Boston would benefit from having an extra backup point guard since they would have to trade Pritchard in this deal. Plus, Beverley’s energy would fit right in with the culture Marcus Smart has set in Boston.

Celtics fans would definitely much rather do the prior trade, but this one seems more realistic. Which trade would you rather do for Karl-Anthony Towns?
