Boston Celtics TPE target No. 2) Chris Boucher

The Toronto Raptors are a team that’s likely embarking on a journey towards a franchise rebuild, and, in turn, could be enticed to ship off some of their more veteran commodities in exchange for draft compensation and/ or youthful talents.

Though he may not grab the franchise a ton in return, 28-year-old big man, Chris Boucher, could be a prime example of a veteran player on the verge of being shopped and, according to writer Justin Quinn, believe the vet could be a potential target for the Boston Celtics.

Putting up the best numbers of his four-year career last season, through 60 games played Boucher posted solid averages of 13.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game on 51 percent shooting from the floor and 38 percent shooting from deep.

Showing the potential to be a legitimate floor spacing rim protector in the NBA, Toronto’s center is an interesting candidate to consider should he be put on the block.

That said, due to the fact that he will be turning 29 rather early on during this coming campaign coupled with the fact that he has only really had one quality season under his belt, we are not advocating that the Celtics shell out ample assets in an effort to acquire him.

Chris Boucher seems to be a sound buy-low target for Stevens and co. to monitor moving forward.

Verdict: Purse (on the low)
