Best way Boston Celtics can improve at shooting guard: Slide Brown to the two

The beauty of having a player like Jaylen Brown on the Boston Celtics is that, due to his size and specific skill set, the coaching staff can choose to use him at either the two or three.

Despite having played predominantly at small forward throughout last season while in fully healthy lineups, it is widely believed that the 24-year-old is best served to play the two-guard and, frankly, we can’t help but agree.

Now yes, obviously he did manage to nab his first All-Star nod whilst slotting in as the C’s starting three, as he posted stellar averages of 24.7 points, six rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.2 steals on 48 percent shooting from the floor and nearly 40 percent shooting from deep, but it’s hard to believe that he can’t manage to replicate these numbers at shooting guard this season, especially considering he already put up similar averages the year prior on a much more crowded squad.

With his two-way upside coupled with his always improving offensive skill set and impressive length (6-6 with a 7-0 wingspan), slotting Brown back at the two would likely be the best option in terms of talent that this team has.
