Boston Celtics’ Kris Dunn replacement: Avery Bradley
Is that…another Boston Celtics reunion?
Why yes it is. Al Horford was the first return of the offseason, and Enes Kanter was soon to sign on not long after to bring the Brad Stevens former player reunion count to two.
Avery Bradley would make a fine addition as the third re-addition to the Cs rotation after four seasons away. He never found another team that he was as indispensable on, despite winning a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Of course, he was not present in the Lake Buena Vista bubble last year during the 2020 postseason, giving way to the return of J.R. Smith as a LeBron James championship teammate four years after aiding the “king” in winning his third ring.
Bradley could return to Boston as a veteran hand used in case of emergency (injuries, COVID-19, etc.) if Stevens can find a new home for Kris Dunn’s contract. Dunn was rumored to be available earlier in the summer, so it isn’t far-fetched to see a deal go down late in the offseason if there is traction on a Bradley-Celtics sequel.
