Overall, the 2021 NBA Offseason has been a smashing success for the Boston Celtics as newly appointed President of Basketball Operations, Brad Stevens, has seemingly been hell-bent on reconstructing the team’s roster to give rookie head coach, Ime Udoka, a better rotation to work with this coming campaign than he personally did last season.

Kicking off the festivities with the trade that sent Kemba Walker to the OKC Thunder, right from the get-go it was apparent that this new-look front office was willing to take part in more noteworthy transactions that, frankly, the former regime with Danny Ainge at the helm seemed to be somewhat reluctant to do.

When looking back on what the Cs have managed to accomplish this summer, it’s rather hard to think up anything negative to say about their efforts and actions, specifically when considering how rough of a situation they were in financially coming in.

However, though they did ultimately state that the Boston Celtics likely have nothing to regret when it comes to their offseason endeavors, the folks at Bleacher Report believe that, if they had to pick one decision that was made as being questionable, it would likely be the signing of veteran big man, Enes Kanter.

Though writer, Andy Bailey, certainly made it a point to state that the big man is a very talented player in this league who is coming off of a fantastic 2020-21 campaign (11.2 points and 11 boards in 24.4 minutes per game), the problem he has with the reacquisition of Kanter is the potential “logjam” it could create in the team’s frontcourt.

"Al Horford is back, and the recently extended Robert Williams is on the rise. Williams, specifically, could use plenty of developmental minutes if he’s going to be the long-term answer alongside Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown."

Bailey would then go on to imply that his decision to list the Kanter signing as one Boston could wind up regretting was simply to meet the objective of his piece (which was very well thought out, by the way) to list a potential offseason regret for all 30 teams in the league.

Looking back at the past few months, it’s hard to pinpoint anything specific that the Celtics should have any regrets about.

However, should one be forced to choose, it’s hard to argue with B/R’s logic on this one.
