The NBA season is almost here which means the future is upon us. Every year there’s a new young player that ends up breaking onto the scene and launching their team in the nationwide spotlight. The Boston Celtics have been at the forefront of the youth movement with their two star players, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, both making their impact on the league early.

Bleacher Report has ranked the Boston Celtics young core has the second-best in the NBA.

NOTE: Bleacher Report‘s definition of a “young core” consists of players that will be under the age of 25 by the October 19th NBA tip-off.

The All-Star duo of Tatum and Brown headline the group for the Cs.

Payton Pritchard, Aaron Nesmith and Robert Williams III also are key members of the group for Boston. Lesser names such as Romeo Langford, Carsen Edwards, Grant Williams and Bruno Fernando round out the under 25 group for the squad.

There is a very strong argument for the Boston Celtics to be over the Atlanta Hawks on this strictly because of Tatum and Brown. The Hawks have the advantage in quantity but the shamrocks definitely have the advantage in quality.

Trae Young and Jayson Tatum are both arguably top five players at their respective positions but Jaylen Brown outweighs John Collins in terms of production and reputation.

The Hawks have a ton of unproven talent that have the potential to be great but just haven’t reached that point like some members of the Celtics have.

With the key young guys signed for the next few years, the future of the Boston Celtics is in good hands.

While they may be down a man in Jaylen Brown for a part of the season, should everyone stay healthy this team should be good for years to come.

After making the playoffs and taking a game against the stacked Brooklyn Nets, this squad looks to make a deeper run with a healthier and more experienced roster.

Ime Udoka and the new coaching staff looks to use this core and bring the Celtics back to their former glory and bring yet another championship back to Boston.
