Dream TPE target for Boston Celtics No. 1) Larry Nance Jr.

Larry Nance Jr. may not be the biggest name in the National Basketball Association, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be a great grab for a team like the Boston Celtics.

In fact, we believe he could prove to be a perfect addition to this roster that finds itself completely void of any legitimate power forward options.

Wallowing away on the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers, Nance’s time in the Buckeye State may be coming to an end rather soon as they went about and crowded the frontcourt even more what with them re-signing Jarrett Allen to a five-year, $100 million deal and drafting Evan Mobley with the third overall selection in this past draft.

Though still rather young (28), the power forward may not be young enough to fit the rebuilding timeline that the Cavs are looking to be on moving forward.

As for the timeline in which the Boston Celtics are on, Nance would fit right in.

A great 3-and-D four with a keen eye for the distribution game, the sixth-year veteran is coming off a 2020-21 campaign where he posted 9.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.5 steals, and half a block per game on 47 percent shooting from the floor and 36 percent shooting from deep.

Be it in a starting role at power forward that would allow Jayson Tatum to slide back to his natural role at the three, or simply as a backup to the C’s star, Larry Nance Jr. in green and white is certainly a reality worth pursuing.
