Marcus Smart is the defensive star and primary ball-handler

Based on Ime Udoka’s recent comments, Marcus Smart will be the starting point guard for the Celtics. His defense and playmaking ability will play a huge role for the C’s.

Smart just signed a massive extension to stay with the team, so it’s clear they value what he brings to the table. He will finally get the chance to play point guard again, and he should thrive in that role.

He will take on the most difficult defensive assignments every night and act as the main ball-handler for the Celtics. Smart’s role in Boston has never been clearer.

Jaylen Brown is a two-way All-Star

Jaylen Brown is an All-Star caliber player, and he will likely be looking to make the game once again this year. His talent on both ends of the floor makes him a very valuable player to have in the NBA.

He can lock up the opposing team’s best player and also drop 30 points in the same game. There aren’t many players in the league who can do that.

The 24-year-old star is set to have an even bigger role than he did last year now that Kemba Walker is gone. He’s a superstar in the making and is the perfect second option on the Celtics.

Jayson Tatum is a two-way superstar

There’s no more doubting it.

Jayson Tatum is a superstar in the NBA. After the scoring run, he went on last year, Tatum should be regarded as a top 20 player in the NBA.

He is the Celtics’ primary scoring option, closer, and the face of the franchise. The 23-year-old phenom could legitimately average 30 points per game this season.

Tatum will be the focal point of Boston’s offense, and rightfully so. He is the superstar that will try to lead the Boston Celtics to the promised land.
