After enduring a grueling 2020-21 campaign that saw their worst regular-season record since 2014-15 and their first Quarterfinals playoff exit since 2015-16, the Boston Celtics have come into the offseason guns blazing to try and better themselves heading into 2021-22.

Less than 24 hours after their season came to an end, the Cs made the big and bold move to replace the longtime tenured Danny Ainge as President of Basketball Operations with Brad Stevens. Since this fateful event, the rookie front office executive has made the most of his new role.

Soon after being thrust up the franchise’s totem pole, Stevens struck a cap-clearing deal that sent Kemba Walker’s contract to the OKC Thunder in exchange for the likes of Al Horford.

About a month after, he took part in the trade market once more, using the remaining portion of the Gordon Hayward TPE on Dallas Mavericks wing, Josh Richardson.

Since then, the front office has slowed down in this department but has managed to keep quite active during this year’s free agency period and, in fact, wound up nabbing arguably the biggest steal on the open market in point guard Dennis Schroder.

Hitting all available avenues, thus far into Stevens’ tenure as President he has seemingly managed to secure more victories than he did during the final few months as head coach.

Now, with the buyout market looking like it could start to fill up with some noteworthy players soon, this presents the Cs with another opportunity to find offseason success.
