Boston Celtics’ standout #3: Zach Auguste

Zach Auguste opened many eyes after his Saturday performance, scoring 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting, to go along with six rebounds, two assists, and two steals in only 15 minutes of play. Auguste, looked at as a veteran on this summer Celtics squad, may have earned himself a longer stay in Boston.

At 28 years of age, the Notre Dame product does not possess as much potential as the other two on this list. However, Auguste is a big man who can both hit the long ball while having lots of bounce around the rim – that’s a valuable player in the league. He may not have lots of room to grow as he is already in his athletic prime, but he may have earned a roster spot on the main Celtics.

Auguste ran the floor well against the 76ers, showcasing the potential to be an athletic rim running big. He has played overseas in both Turkey and Greece over the past four seasons after being undrafted in 2016.

Growing up in Massachusetts, an opportunity with the Boston Celtics organization would be a dream come true for Auguste.

Who else stood out on the Boston Celtics summer league squad?

They will play in the championship game on Tuesday.
