Potential Boston Celtics Kris Dunn trade partner #3: Orlando Magic

Now here, we are not looking for any deals that don’t register moderately high on the blockbuster scale. The Cs would be trying to nab the best player possible with an Orlando Magic deal involving Kris Dunn.

It’s all about Mo Bamba baby.

The Bamba agenda has been notable and strong here at HH for several years, and the Magic still don’t seem to have a definitive role for him.

Wendell Carter Jr. could well keep him glued to the pine, and Robin Lopez probably didn’t get $5 million to never play. Jonathan Isaac could even log some time as a small-ball center.

This is all to say that Bamba belongs on a team that can make him a definitive part of the future. Does Boston consider dealing Robert Williams in a contract year? If he continues to show flashes, he could earn a big offer in restricted free agency. His health has been a question mark thus far, though, and the proposition of investing long-term in him is a dicey one.

Bamba has not had the sort of ailments that could chip at his health like the Time Lord has. His ceiling is higher due to his willingness to step beyond the arc and launch a 3-pointer. Williams has been resistent to hoist from downtown and his game depends more on athelticism.

If it takes a draft pick, perhaps moving off of both Dunn and Williams in the same trade to land Bamba–moving the Cs further from the tax-line and still opening up a roster spot by the way–could be the finishing touch on the offseason needs.
