Boston Celtics: 3 free agent targets that have ties to the Cs

Free-agent with connection to the Boston Celtics No. 3) Paul Millsap
Paul Millsap may be well within the twilight years of his NBA career, but that doesn’t mean that he couldn’t prove to be a great grab for the Boston Celtics heading into next season.
Brad Stevens has already made it clear that, on top of his desire to bolster the talent pool within the team’s rotation, he wants to make the team a bit older and more seasoned when it comes to experience.
Still rather productive, as shown by his play last season, and his 15-year tenure in the association that has seen four All-Star nods and eight deep postseason runs, Millsap could be the type of player worth grabbing on a cheap deal.
A legitimate stretch four — something Boston could actually use within the rotation — the 36-year-old quietly proved that he can still be a quality contributor for a postseason-aspiring ball club, posting nine points and snatching up just under five boards a game on 48 percent shooting from the floor in 20.8 minutes of action.
With his well-documented history of success in the NBA coupled with his likely low-cost asking price and previous interest in joining the Cs — almost signed a deal with them last offseason — the idea of Paul Millsap coming to Boston seems to be rather realistic, and one that could prove to be beneficial.
