Boston Celtics reunion #3 we could see: Isaiah Thomas

Death, taxes, and Hardwood Houdini advocating for the return of the five-foot-nine messiah Isaiah Thomas.

Over and over again you’ve heard from us that the point guard position could use a veteran leadership boost, and that is especially true now that Kemba Walker went the way of Kyrie Irving and joined a New York team after an underwhelming stint in Boston.

Thomas made sense in 2019-20, made even more sense during the injury/COVID-19 protocol butchered up season known as the 2020-21 campaign, and makes more sense now than it ever has considering the dearth of options at the position.

Yam Madar’s impending arrival could shoot this dead in the water, and the fact that Brad Wanamaker spent the whole last season employed probably bodes well for his chances to be signed instead.

But listen Brad: this Cs fanbase needs something to reignite its passion. Seeing the Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, and Miami Heat make big moves this offseason has Cs fans losing hope in this upcoming season quickly.

You could get it all back by signing on the dotted line to bring back a player that has earned a spot in the hearts of Celtics fans forever with what he did in just two-and-half seasons.

Bring back IT. For all of us.

Next. 4 Cs who could be gone very soon. dark
