Boston Celtics free agent threat #3: Golden State Warriors

When it comes to free agent pitches, the Warriors have one of the most unique hooks of any teams hoping to get players under their organizational umbrella. Golden State has a returning superstar in Klay Thompson that is joining a dynastic core in Steph Curry–who very much is still the most lethal shooter in the game–and a re-energized Draymond Green.

To boot, Andrew Wiggins is looking much closer to fulfilling his #1 overall pick potential and 2020 lottery pick James Wiseman should be healthier after an up and down rookie year from a health perspective.

So far, Bob Myers has been using his jewelry-covered hands to make deals official with players who are taking far less money to play in the Bay Area. Otto Porter joined the team on a veteran’s minimum deal shortly before Nemanja Bjelica did the same.

The added depth is having the Warriors considering a deal for someone like Joe Ingles, who would be a glove fit for the Dubs’ lineup.

Free agents can’t be blamed for looking at being a part of the first playoff team in the Chase Center era as being a better opportunity than a team that clearly has its sights on next summer.
