Boston Celtics free agent threat #2: Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers, like the Celtics, have been snakes in the grass so far during the NBA’s free agent moratorium. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’ve been striking out, but they haven’t gotten some of the great value deals that have been tossed around so far.

No worries on their end, though, because when they do strike, the Clippers will be reeling the kind of talent that prioritizes winning, since they’d be joining a team on the brink of a Western Conference championship out in Tinseltown.

The worries should exclusively fall on the C’s end. Stevens isn’t experienced in recruiting free agents, but the Clippers front office has gotten guys like Reggie Jackson for the veteran’s minimum and Serge Ibaka for the MLE.

Jackson is once again someone the Clippers could get a discount for, but at the very least they are in the market for the same kind of players Steens would want to sign…they just have better odds of landing most of them.
