Boston Celtics likely goner #3: Tremont Waters

The 2019 second-round pick from LSU was a solid hand for the Cs over his two seasons, and no players in NBA history will ever have a more tumultuous first two professional seasons due to circumstances outside of their control quite like that draft class.

But the show goes on, and the Cs could be adding guards through the free-agent market soon, squeezing out guys like Tremont Waters in the process. Considering Sam Hauser already took a two-way contract spot, Waters and Tacko Fall could battle for the final spot…and Tacko wouldn’t lose that matchup.

Boston Celtics likely goner #4: Semi Ojeleye

Semi Ojeleye is the third-longest tenured Celtic along with Jayson Tatum, and he was certainly a pivotal part of a team that accomplished a good amount.

Had they done more, giving Ojelete the kind of payday he could end up making from a curious franchise in need of shooting and defense would be more justifiable.

Who knows how things end up now that Alex Caruso is capable of landing a deal just under $40 million from a non-playoff contender to backup Lonzo Ball for over $80 million, though.
