Boston Celtics MLE point guard pursuit #2: Reggie Jackson

The Los Angeles Clippers probably didn’t expect to make the Western Conference finals after knocking off the #1 team in the NBA, put up a damn good fight against the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Finals, and do this all without Kawhi Leonard.

We know that they had no idea that Reggie Jackson would turn back the clock to his 2016 peak with the Detriot Pistons and serve as a worthy Robin to Paul George’s Batman.

No way. Impossible. But we glad Jackson didn’t fall prey to the narrative that he was no longer that guy, because his comeback added a very intriguing name to the list of point guards the Cs can pursue in free agency.

The Knicks and Pelicans are of course in on Jackson as well, with the market dictating a similar payday to the other two on this list. Jackson never had individual success like Dinwiddie did in 2019-20, but he also isn’t coming off of an ACL tear but is coming off of a massive postseason run.

The pay will be good, and the Cs will be an option.
