Boston Celtics point guard options: Brad Wanamaker & Ish Smith

Brad Wanamaker was very productive during his time with the Boston Celtics. Bringing him back could turn out to be a safe, low-cost option.

Fans either loved or hated Wanamaker when he was on the Cs. The one thing no one can take away from him, however, was that he was super efficient.

With Smart and Pritchard handling the majority of the point guard duties, Wanamaker wouldn’t have to get much playing time. He would just have to step up and play his role when he needed to.

His BORD$ rating is a veteran minimum contract. For that cost, bringing back Wanamaker isn’t the worst idea in the world.

Ish Smith has spent the past few years tormenting the Boston Celtics. He always seems to play super well when he’s on the other team.

Well, what better way to combat that than by signing him?

He would be a solid spark off the pine, as it is well-known that he is one of the fastest players in the NBA.

Based on his BORD$ rating, he’s only worth a veteran minimum contract. For someone who will only play spot minutes, that’s a pretty good deal.

Any of these players would be a quality option to help bolster the Boston Celtics guard rotation. Realistically, they just need one more guard for the rotation to be set.
