The Boston Celtics improve their guard rotation while the Sacramento Kings get some insurance at center.
Delon Wright was just traded last season, but could realistically be on the move once again. With the crowded backcourt in Sacramento, they could look to trade Wright in order to upgrade their center position.
The combo guard played super well last year for both the Pistons and Kings. He showed the ability to make an impact on both ends of the floor.
He averaged 10.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.4 assists last season. Wright shot 46.3% from the field and 37.2% from three-point range.
With Payton Pritchard already in place, Wright would complete Boston’s backcourt off the bench. At 6-5, he can play the one or the two, so there’s a ton of flexibility there.
His skill set fits in perfectly with what the Boston Celtics should be looking for this offseason. He’s a tall guard that can shoot the ball and make plays for others.
For the Kings, they add some center insurance as well as a first-round pick. Tristan Thompson could come in and either start or come off the bench for them.
Richaun Holmes played super well for the Kings last year, but he could potentially be on the move in free agency this summer. If that is the case, the Kings could look to add some depth at center.
