Boston Celtics target No. 3) Paul Millsap

Paul Millsap can stretch the floor and defend multiple positions at a high level. There’s not much more a team could want out of a bench player.

At 36-years-old, Millsap is likely nearing the end of his career. Despite this, he still has the ability to contribute meaningful bench minutes on a good team.

He averaged nine points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists while shooting 47.6 percent from the field and 34.3 percent from deep. His shooting and versatility have always been his most enticing traits.

There was a chance for the Celtics to sign him last season, but he ended up back in Denver. If Brad Stevens can pry him away from the Nuggets, he would be the perfect veteran for the bench.

The Boston Celtics don’t have any true power forwards on the roster, so he could slide into that role. He can step into the starting lineup when needed but is more than capable of making an impact off the bench as well.

Due to his age, he’ll likely only receive veteran minimum contract offers this offseason. The Celtics should definitely put their hat in the ring to sign him.

Both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown would be able to pick up defensive tips, and the bench would receive the infusion of veteran leadership Brad Stevens wants to add.
