Boston Celtics: 3 players in NBA Finals Cs should pursue this summer
Boston Celtics NBA Finals target No. 3) Torrey Craig
Veteran wing, Torrey Craig, made a name for himself in Denver, acting as an above-average defender and a capable off-ball shooter during his three-year stint in the Mile High City. He has improved his offensive skills drastically this year in Phoenix, sinking almost 37 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc.
No matter what, he will end this year as an NBA champion, as he began the year on the Bucks before moving to Phoenix.
Craig has become a staple to Monty Williams’ Phoenix Suns, appearing in every playoff game so far, averaging about 14 minutes per contest.
Another defensive-minded wing would go a long way for the Boston Celtics’ poor on-ball defense in the 2020-21 campaign. The team played far below their potential on that end of the ball, and another defensive-first addition to the team would improve their ability to hold leads late in games.
Craig is another free agent after this Finals run, and may wind up looking to get more playing time on another team. He is not the most lucrative asset, as the Boston Celtics would certainly have the ability and interest to sign him.
