Boston Celtics land De’Aaron Fox for Marcus Smart, Tristan Thompson, Romeo Langford, Robert Williams, Payton Pritchard, 2022 first round pick and 2024 first round pick

Pairing De’Aaron Fox alongside Tatum and Brown would be the perfect infusion of playmaking. An elite point guard could be exactly what the C’s need.

The Sacramento Kings have had a tough time building around Fox. They currently have the longest playoff drought in the entire league.

Marvin Bagley III has already expressed the desire to leave town, and the same can be said for Buddy Hield. Maybe it’s only a matter of time that Fox feels the same way.

Fox is coming off the best season of his young NBA career thus far. Despite this, he has still never made an All-Star team.

Last year, he averaged 25.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game. He shot 47.7% from the field and 32.2% from deep.

The young point guard is also under contract for a long time. He makes max money, but would be under team control through the 2025-26 season.

This would create Boston’s big three for the future. Brad Stevens would just have to focus on putting the right pieces around them in order to effectively compete in the East.

Fox is one of the fastest players in the NBA, and one of the best playmakers. Putting him next to two of the best scorers in the league would do wonders for his game.
