When they traded Kemba Walker, the Boston Celtics fully committed to building around Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. They have two young stars that can lead the team into the future.

Both players have made an All-Star game, played in multiple Eastern Conference Finals, and can average over 20 points per game. It’s safe to say the C’s are in good hands.

By bringing back rotational pieces, the Celtics can give their two franchise players the best chance to win. However, if Brad Stevens had the chance to form a big three, should he take it?

Over the years, there have been multiple superstars that Danny Ainge “almost traded for.” From Anthony Davis to James Harden, a deal never got done.

The Boston Celtics have more assets now than they might ever have in order to pull a trade like this off. With Smart under contract and multiple young assets, they could put together a fairly enticing package.

The real question to ask is which young stars might be available via trade? Whether the player is unhappy in their situation or the team wants to go in a different direction, what trade targets could the Celtics look at?

Looking around the league, there are a few prime candidates. Who could help form the next big three in Boston?
