As the pieces around them have come and gone, the superstar duo of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum has been navigating the Eastern Conference waters the past four seasons for the Boston Celtics to varied success.

2020-21 didn’t have much in the way of that, making this upcoming offseason a crucial one for the new President of Basketball Operations, Brad Stevens.

Cs owner Wyc Grousbeck did everything possible recently to confirm that he has every intention of keeping his star pairing in Boston for the rest of their careers:

"“The idea is we have two young All-Stars and [new Celtics head coach Ime Udoka] highlighted them in his press conference. … He wants to be here in large part because of our roster, not to mention the fans and everything else it is about Boston. “It’s because of who’s on the team right now and probably led by those two, Jayson and Jaylen. We’ll see how this goes, but we’re building for the future. We could have a good long run of being a good team with these young guys and now this new coach, so I’m really hopeful.” “It’s not for me to say, and I don’t comment on that stuff. I love them.
