Many regard this upcoming NBA draft class as one of the best in recent years. Some even are going as far as to say it could be one of the best ever, which doesn’t bode well for Boston Celtics fans.

A class highlighted by Cade Cunningham is bound to be spectacular. It also includes future stars such as Evan Mobley, Jalen Green, and Jalen Suggs.

However, the star power in this draft is rivaled by its depth. Some say that there could be quality NBA players that end up going undrafted.

This means that there could potentially be over 60 solid prospects in the 2021 Draft. There is one downside, however – the Boston Celtics don’t have a first-round pick.

They traded their first-round pick (16th overall) to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Kemba Walker trade.

This leaves them without a pick in the first-round.

Although Brad Stevens has expressed the desire to get older, it’s a shame that the Celtics are missing out on such a stacked draft class. There are always undrafted free agents, but it’s not the same level of talent.

So, while it may not be the top priority, should Boston explore the trade market for a first-round pick this season?

A few teams have multiple picks and could be willing to trade one in exchange for assets. The Cs have some young players they could be willing to part ways with in exchange for fresh faces.

Signing veterans will certainly take precedence, but what are some potential trades to get the Boston Celtics a draft pick?
