Utah Jazz – Georges Niang, PF

If you haven’t been watching Utah Jazz games first off, you’re really missing out on fun basketball and second, you probably won’t know who this guy is unless you play NBA 2K. Georges Niang is the perfect big for any NBA team to go out and get.

Niang is the prototypical stretch four but he’s not one of those guys that’s a “good” shooter, hitting around 37 or 38 percent of their threes. No, he’s a great shooter, consistently shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc when he gets playing time.

In 2020, he averaged 6.9 points on 43.7 percent shooting from the field and 42.5 percent from three. Niang is a lethal shooter that doesn’t get enough recognition because he’s a bench player on a small market team.

The ability to shoot and stretch the floor has become a requirement in today’s NBA. When you do that, you get paid. The best part about Niang is that he probably won’t be getting paid a ton because he barely plays now as is. Put him on the Celtics he’s a 20-minute per-game player who’s averaging 10 off the bench and having the green light to take six or seven threes a game.
