This is the offseason that changes are coming, Boston Celtics fans. It has to be.

A 36-36 record, first-round postseason departure, a coaching change, and a full front office facelift cannot possibly precede a summer of minimal movement for this clearly flawed Boston roster.

Brad Stevens was promoted to President of Basketball Operations for the Cs, and having coached the team’s stars the past few years gives him a good idea of what they need around them to thrive.

Many Boston Celtics fans are likely clamoring for a change at the point guard position, and there’s plenty of good reasons why. In a nutshell, Kemba Walker isn’t living up to his contract. In a more macro sense, Walker may always be too much of a liability on the defensive end to ever capably serve as one of the top performers…something his salary figure demands him to be for this current iteration of the Celtics.

Trading him is one of the popular tasks that fans hope is on Stevens’ to-do list in his first offseason to mold the team in his vision. Dealing him is the quickest ticket to major changes, as $35 million is a lot to work with under the salary cap.

Damian Lillard is the most popular superstar name Cs fans are dreaming of this offseason. Portland would probably prefer to keep him and reshuffle the deck around him, but there could be an offer out there too good to refuse.
