Boston Celtics target No. 3) Nemanja Bjelica, Miami Heat

It’s been a rough year for Nemanja Bjelica. The Serbian-born sharpshooter has failed to find his rhythm and has taken a step back in 2020-21.

After two and half years serving as a key role player for the Sacramento Kings, Bjelica was traded to the Miami Heat at this year’s trade deadline.

He began to return to form after the change in scenery but didn’t finish the year near where he was at the end of the 2019-20 season.

His value is in his perimeter shooting as he’s one of the better shooting bigs in the NBA. He’s massively underrated because prior to getting to a big market in Miami, he was stuck in Sacramento and Minnesota.

He may already be 33-years-old, but assuming he can bounce back from this year, he has the tools to be in the NBA for another full-length contract.

Depending on what Brad Stevens thinks about moving Jayson Tatum to the three, Bjelica could crack the starting lineup for the Cs in a potential Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Robert Williams unit.

Should Stevens keep him on the bench, he’d be a valuable, consistent shooter which the Boston Celtics were without this season.

His addition would also push Grant Williams out of the rotation and make him available to be traded or cut in the offseason.
