Boston Celtics target No. 2) Devonte’ Graham, Charlotte Hornets

With the significantly less-than-stellar point guard play that the Boston Celtics have had to deal with in 2020, Devonte’ Graham seems like a very easy choice to make in regard to being a free agent target.

He’s played starter caliber minutes before but has primarily been the key bench piece for the Charlotte Hornets.

The former second-round pick has made quite the name for himself so early on in his time in the NBA. After making a huge jump in his sophomore season, Graham solidified himself as a legitimate scoring threat off the bench which then vaulted him into the starting lineup.

Graham isn’t the most efficient scorer out there but that hasn’t stopped Danny Ainge and the Celtics before.

He would take a step back in Boston’s offense and move away from being forced to be the only scoring option at points in the game. He’s not a great defender but, then again, he isn’t expected to be.

His presence could be primarily off the bench should the Celtics decide to keep Kemba Walker or pursue another option to run the point guard position. Having a consistent spark plug off the pine would be good for the Cs, as they didn’t really have one this past season and haven’t for the past several.

Graham shouldn’t be asking for any crazy money but should be within a reasonable range for the Boston Celtics to jump on.
