In case you have been living under a rock or just not watching the Boston Celtics play basketball this season, the team is bad and can’t stay healthy! Changes need to be made and they need to happen as quickly as possible in order to preserve any hopes of winning a championship within the next five seasons.

The playoffs are here and that means that the NBA draft and free agency are right around the corner. With that being said, it is finally time to start looking for any possible solution to solve the absolute trainwreck of a 2020 season the Celtics had.

In this mini series, I will be highlighting impending free agents that I, personally, think the C’s should target this coming offseason.

Players may be listed for a variety of reasons, whether that be overall skill, fit with the team, potential salary implications or just because of the lack of quality free agents from the specified team.

There can’t be enough emphasis on the fact that this is not a prediction piece. I am in no way trying to say who the Celtics will sign, it’s strictly who I think they should sign. Of course, this is an opinion piece.

There are going to be instances in which several players may make sense for the Boston Celtics to pursue but we are only going to highlight one player.

Not all of the players listed may be guaranteed to hit the market. The player may have a team option in their contract that gets picked up or they may have a player option in which they pick up. We are going to ignore those options as well as the several instances of restricted free agency that may occur.

The division of focus for this edition of the mini series is going to be the Central division of the Eastern Conference.
