Boston Celtics prediction No. 3) Cs will not make the postseason

It’s been a disappointing year for the Boston Celtics through 72 games played. Now, with a minimum of one and a potential total of two more left to go on the docket, why would anyone expect anything different?

For our final bold prediction, we believe that the shamrocks will continue their lackluster level of production during the play-in tournament and, with this, miss out on the postseason altogether.

On paper, Boston looks like a pretty menacing team, as they still have two current and former All-Stars in Tatum and Walker, a 17.1 point-per-game scorer in Fournier, and a do-it-all, Swiss Army Man talent in Marcus Smart.

On the court, however, they have been one of, if not the most underwhelming team in the NBA throughout 2020-21.

Now, the Celtics are beaten and battered and find themselves squaring off against a Washington Wizards team who, though they have the season-series advantage at 2-1, Boston proved to struggle against when they were at the very least stronger and whilst the Wiz were out of synch.

With them currently Jaylen Brown-less and dropping six of their last eight games now going up against a Washington team that has been incredible during this final stretch of the season, going 15-5, it seems inevitable that they’ll come away with another “L” once Wednesday rolls around.

After that, with how the bracket system works, Boston would be going up against the winner of the Indiana Pacers vs Charlotte Hornets matchup, both of whom have proven to cause problems for the Celtics throughout the season, while also seemingly getting healthy at the right time, while the Cs are ironically doing the exact opposite.
