Boston Celtics: The only 2 players worth dealing Jaylen Brown for
By Mark Nilon
Boston Celtics trade target No. 1) Karl-Anthony Towns
The biggest problem for the Boston Celtics over the past several years has been within their frontcourt and, most specifically, at their pivot spot and, during this season, the problem has seemingly persisted.
Should the front office even consider dealing away their building block wing, they should absolutely look to get a suitable answer for their center woes in return.
Karl-Anthony Towns could, and likely would be that exact player.
Wallowing away on the lowly Minnesota Timberwolves, the still-young 25-year-old center should absolutely be longing for a shot at legitimate contention or, at the very least, respectability, none of which have been found in Minneapolis for quite some time.
Making the postseason just once over his highly-productive five-year NBA career is not something that should be desired and, should he want out of the Twin Cities, the shamrocks could prove to be a fine destination.
In 34 minutes per night, KAT is posting stellar per-game averages of 24.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.2 blocks on 49 percent shooting from the floor and 40 percent shooting from downtown.
Arguably a top-20 player and constantly in the conversation for best center in the league, getting that — and, obviously, a few other assets — in return for the likes of Brown might not be such a difficult thing to accept for Boston Celtics fans.
