Former Boston Celtics player No. 3) Avery Bradley

Avery Bradley is one of the most underrated Boston Celtics of the past decade.

In his 413 games in the green and white, he started 340 of them. Averaging 12.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals on 44 percent shooting from the field and about 37 percent from deep in his seven years with the franchise, he was one of the premiere “glue guys” in the NBA.

Bradley made his impact mostly on the defensive end. He earned All-Defensive First Team honors during that magical 2016 season and All-Defensive Second Team honors back in 2013.

After his time in Boston, he bounced around the league. Starting with the Detroit Pistons, he played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, and Houston Rockets.

He was a member of the 2019-20 Los Angeles Lakers team that won the NBA Finals in the bubble. Now he plays alongside former Celtics and Heat teammate Kelly Olynyk in Houston.

Bradley would be a great addition who is a candidate for the veteran’s minimum level deal.

You can’t teach heart or tenacity and that’s exactly what he brings to the table. His willingness to be a grit and grind type of player is something that teams don’t have nowadays. It’s a matter of when and not if he comes back to the Celtics.

Why shouldn’t Danny Ainge make the call now and see if he can help bring Boston back to the top of the Eastern Conference?
