Boston Celtics: 2 players Cs should pursue in a Kemba Walker deal

As far as wildcards go, the Boston Celtics may be one of the most unpredictable teams heading into the 2021 postseason.

Rostering two All-Stars in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, already a matchup against the shamrocks is one that needs to be taken seriously and, should the roster attain full health, they will certainly be a hard team to beat.

That said, when looking at their payroll, it’s quite evident that the expectations were not to be a team that could be in the mix for deep playoff runs but, rather, one that was expected to do so.

Though not all the blame can be placed upon his shoulders, Kemba Walker has been a major catalyst when it comes to the overall disappointment that has been the C’s current campaign.

Now, of course, it’s no real fault of his own, for a healthy Kemba has proven to be a huge asset for the ball club. Unfortunately, health has simply not been there for the former All-Star throughout his tenure with Boston and, thus, it has had a significant impact on the team’s production.

Because of this, rumblings within the media have begun to surface suggesting that Danny Ainge and co. could look to offload the remaining two years of the veteran’s contract via trade.
