This coming offseason, we believe there are 2 specific impending free agents that the Boston Celtics should consider re-signing

The Boston Celtics are one pace to be finishing out the 2020-21 regular season on quite a hot streak.

Despite finding themselves below .500 just a few short weeks ago, over their last 10 outings, the Cs have managed to snag eight wins, including six straight during this stretch and, in turn, now find themselves in possession of the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with an overall record of 31-27.

With 14 games remaining on the docket, there is a legitimate chance that this team can shoot on up to perhaps even a top-3 seed in the standings come playoff time, as the difference between the third-place Milwaukee Bucks and the Boston Celtics is a mere four wins.

However, no matter where they wind up placing, the road to another Eastern Conference Finals berth, though not impossible, will be quite challenging, as they’ll likely need to go through either the Philadelphia 76ers or the Brooklyn Nets to get there.

While the shamrocks should obviously stay focused on this current campaign, for they truly still have a fighter’s chance should health be on their side and their X-factor, Kemba Walker, catch his stride, the front office should already be mapping out a potential path to embark on this coming offseason for, in this league, it’s never too early to plan ahead.

In regard to the open market, pickings will undoubtedly be slim for the Boston Celtics, as they have minimal cap room to pursue opposing team’s free agents. However, thanks to the league’s Bird rights, they have the opportunity to re-sign some of their own impending free agents that would allow them to go over the salary cap.

Currently on the roster, there are several players that have their contracts coming to an end come the conclusion of this season and, of them, we at HH believe there to be 2, in specific, that Danny Ainge and co. must consider re-signing:
