The Boston Celtics pride Kendrick Perkins has to this day is a beautiful sight, and on Thursday night/Friday morning, he had some pro-Cs pontifications following Boston’s spread-covering win against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center.

While Jayson Tatum notably struggled compared to his usual self on Thursday night, several Celtics stepped up to the plate in the absence of his star contributions.

Jaylen Brown–owner of the most efficient 40-point game in Boston Celtics history–and Tristan Thompson, who contributed his most balanced effort of the season, were Perkins’s primary targets of praise.

Per the 2008 NBA Champion’s official Twitter page:

Perkins had the receipts with the stats about the Boston Celtics’ winning habits when Tristan Thompson is in the lineup. He also believes that Jaylen Brown is underappreciated, tagging the first-time All-Star in 2021 with that as a nickname.

Thompson was thought by the Houdini to potentially serve as the big body battler of Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Anthony Davis en route to a potential banner #18 before the season, but a rough fit alongside Daniel Theis in the frontcourt had HH ready to trade Thompson. His $9 million salary is one that could be dealt in order to preserve core assets.

Instead, he is proving his worth in a new Cs backcourt heavily reliant on he and Robert Williams.

As for Brown, the night speaks for itself, as do his almost 25 points per game on a nightly basis for a 2020-21 Boston Celtics team finally finding itself.

The former Cs center Perkins has long held Celtic pride despite playing for several different franchises after being traded away in 2011 for Jeff Green. He spent four seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder, and had a year in New Orleans sandwiched between two seasons in “The Land”.

Ask the Texan what he thinks of the current team, and he’ll shoot you straight: he still bleeds green.
