Boston Celtics get more star power, Houston Rockets get a few firsts

Of course, we would be remiss if we discussed a deal with the Houston Rockets and didn’t propose the idea of the Boston Celtics pursuing the likes of stud shooting guard Victor Oladpio.

In the past, we’ve gone about and proposed ideas we believe could get the job done and, today, we suggest Danny Ainge take advantage of this potential frenzy by utilizing the team’s TPE to bring on the former All-Star.

In this league star power is everything, and the idea of bringing on Oladipo to add to this current crop of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kemba Walker would be a move that would better align their firepower with that of Brooklyn, Milwaukee, and Philadelphia.

Through 24 games played this season, the guard is finding himself posting impressive all-around averages of 20 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.

This deal obviously is a win-now move, which will cost the Cs a bit of their future.

To us here at HH, we see no problem with the idea of trading away two future first-round picks (one of which being lottery protected) and two seconds in exchange for Oladipo which, in all honesty, is not a bad haul for Houston considering it looks as though he doesn’t want to be there longterm anyway.

In a nutshell, Boston looks to upgrade their current prospects while the Rockets gear up for a rebuild.
