Though Boston Celtics fans may have to wait another four days to see their favorite NBA franchise back in action, tonight they’ll at least be able to see the team’s two biggest studs in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown take to the court once again in the league’s annual All-Star game.

For Tatum, this marks his second appearance in the illustrious exhibition, while 2021 makes it Brown’s first.

Though they may be finding themselves on different rosters and, in turn, going head to head tonight, once the break comes to an end they’ll be reunited as teammates once more to take on the second half of the season.

To put a more interesting spin on things, these two wings may not be the only opposing All-Star players that could make their way to the Cs post the break.

There are a few All-Stars the Boston Celtics should be monitoring

According to sources, Danny Ainge and co. are looking to make moves and, with this, some are under the impression that they could be big.

With this, fans and media alike have gone about and linked several high-profile players as possible trade targets for the shamrocks to consider, some of which will be finding themselves playing in tonight’s big game.

Today, we present to you 3 All-Stars the Boston Celtics should be monitoring closely during the contest:

Boston Celtics All-Star target No. 1) Julius Randle

Alongside the likes of Jaylen Brown, tonight’s All-Star game will feature several other “first-timers”, including Julius Randle who, recently, has been found listed as a possible target for the Boston Celtics come the March 25th trade deadline.

On the season, the New York Knicks big man is posting stat-stuffing averages of 23.1 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game on 48 percent shooting from the floor and 41 percent shooting from deep.

In the past, we’ve covered the buzz suggesting that the 26-year-old could be “the answer” to the C’s power forward woes and, in response, we stated that we disagree with such a belief, citing the fact that his presence would not only take away shots from the likes of Brown, Tatum, and Walker, but his dependency on having the ball in his hands is not how this Celtics scheme typically runs.

However, tonight is a prime opportunity for the Boston front office to see how he can fare when playing alongside other star players, and if he can perform at a high level whilst serving as a third or fourth option rather than as the unquestioned number one option.

While we highly doubt our opinions on the matter will sway, we’ll be keeping a close eye on Randle throughout the game.
