Boston Celtics trade target No. 2) Miles Bridges

Next up, we find Charlotte Hornets third-year power forward, Miles Bridges making NAN’s list of players who could help turn Boston’s season around.

After finding himself having a solid sophomore season in which he posted 13 points & 5.6 rebounds and started all but one game, the forward finds himself relegated back to a bench role thanks to the arrival of former shamrock, Gordon Hayward.

With this “downgrade”, however, Bridges is proving to be a quality role player for this up-and-coming Hornets squad, which, frankly, is why Siegel has him as a potential trade option for the Cs.

On the year, the 22-year-old is posting solid per-game averages of 9.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists on 47 percent shooting from the floor and 37 percent shooting from deep.

With his improving jump shot, coupled with his unbelievable athleticism NAN sees Bridges providing solid floor spacing abilities while also being able to run the court on fastbreaks and serve as a fantastic rim-rattling finisher for the Celtics:

"With Boston more than capable of pushing the ball in transition, they could utilize Bridges on the wing because of his athleticism and ability to race down the court in transition. He could be the recipient of plenty of lobs to the hoop in transition and be a difference maker for the Celtics attacking the glass on both ends of the court."

Make no mistake about it, we here at HH believe Bridges is a very talented young player and looks to be in line for a nice future in this league.

That said, at the cost it would likely take to convince Charlotte to part ways with him, it begs the question: is he actually worth it for the Boston Celtics the pursue?

As things currently stand, the team could seriously use for some size and/ or defense down low.

Bridges, as good as we may think he can be, is only 6-6 and is not that great on the less glamorous side of the ball.

If Boston wants to make moves, they’ll want to make ones that will help them in the now, and, looking at Bridges, he’s more of an impact player for tomorrow.

Verdict: Pass
