Boston Celtics: “Agree or Disagree” on list of trade targets Cs should avoid
By Mark Nilon
Despite coming into the season with astronomically high hopes of another deep postseason run, through 23 games the Boston Celtics have found themselves on an emotional roller coaster ride.
While they did manage to go 8-3 through their first 11 outings — including an amazing buzzer-beating victory on opening night and a five-game win streak –, since this hot start, the team has cooled off quite a bit, going 3-6 in their last nine games, one of which being a 105-75 point drubbing by the New York Knicks.
Even with the ample star power that the Cs have in Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kemba Walker — though, at the moment, he’s playing like somewhat of a detriment to his team — at their disposal, with every passing day, it grows more apparent that, should Boston wish to rise the rankings and give themselves the best shot of competing with the top-tier teams out east like the Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, and Milwaukee Bucks, they’ll need to make some moves.
The Boston Celtics should consider making smart moves prior to March 25th
Over the past several months, we at the Houdini have discussed quite a few players we believe would make smart targets for the Boston Celtics to consider trading for prior to the March 25th deadline.
Recently, Bleacher Report jumped into the trade-target mix but added their own spin to the conversation: instead of discussing players Danny Ainge should target, writer Zach Buckley listed 3 players that should flat out be avoided.
With this, it sparked the desire for us at HH to push out yet another installment of one of our favorite series we call “Agree or Disagree” — not to be confused with “Pass or Pursue” –, where we discuss some recently proposed ideas across the media landscape and state whether we believe it makes sense or not for the Cs to pursue doing.
So, without further adieu, let’s get started:
