Through 20 games played, the Boston Celtics boast a fourth-seeded record out in the Eastern Conference of 11-9.

Despite enduring a bevy of injuries to core pieces in their rotation such as Kemba Walker and rookie Payton Pritchard, the shamrocks have managed to remain atop the standings and, frankly, as one of the best teams in the league thanks, in large, to the play of their young wing duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Though both players had career years in 2019-20, during the early stages of 2020-21 it appears as though these ballers have managed to get even better.

Tatum, who was a first-time All-Star last season, is posting career highs all across the board, as he’s averaging 26.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game on 48 percent shooting from the floor and 41 percent shooting from deep.

As for Brown, he, too, is lighting up the stat sheet, boasting 26.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.3 steals per game on 52 percent shooting from the floor and 42 percent shooting from deep.

Boston Celtics studs Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown deserve All-Star nods

Because of their impressive performances, they have been deemed as the best wing duo in the NBA, according to Bleacher Report, and look well on their way to All-Star appearances this year.

Recently, the first wave of voting results was released for the illustrious game and, to no surprise, the Jays were found with a substantial amount of votes to their name.

Combined, both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown received 1,412,346 votes, giving them the fifth most combined out of all other duos in their respective conference.

Based on their play to date, this turnout should not come as a shock to anyone.
